“Jesus called the children to himself and said, ‘Let the children come to me and do not prevent them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”’  (Luke 18:16)

Welcome to all who seek knowledge of the Catholic faith.

A structured Religious Education Program that follows an approved spiraling curriculum is offered for children in grades K – 9.  Sacramental education for both First Eucharist and Confirmation is offered for families of students eligible for the sacrament.

Religious Education classes for grades K – 6 meet on Sunday mornings from 9 – 10 am in the Westbrook High School beginning in September and ending before Easter.  The program is fully staffed by volunteer teachers, aides and safety monitors who have all been trained in the Diocese of Norwich Called to Protect Program.  Many special opportunities are offered for families to experience Jesus and the traditions of our faith at age appropriate educational presentations before the 10:15 am Mass.

Confirmation Students (9th grade) meet weekly and explore a curriculum that reviews the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  The year includes a peer run retreat, opportunities for parish service, reconciliation and a personal interview with a parish elder.

There are many opportunities for parish members to volunteer to be part of our effort to pass on our faith.
